On the Rise!

I am happy to report this week that our volunteer numbers are on the rise!

Ms. Marie Duncan and Ms. Nancy Mullins both approached me this week and will be doing our craft station...along with Danielle Whiteside as their assistant.
And you've gotta love sweet Christine Whiteside...she wants to help so badly, but has so many health problems. Please be praying for her that God will ease her pain and allow her more opportunities for service.

Ken Starkey has agreed to teach the Bible Story every night. AHA!
This was a huge answer to prayer. Not at all that I deem one VBS position over another, but quite obviously having the right person in place to accurately give the Word of God 5 nights in a row is a big job and not one that can be taken lightly. I know Ken will do an excellent job along with the help of Darcy and David as the set people. Jeannie (can't think of her last name off the top of my head) would also like to help in that area, so we will have a nice vibrant youth in there as well.

I think I mentioned last week that Craig Newton will be doing our 6th and 7th grade.
Sharon Ezell mentioned before that she would be willing to help with that too.
Still need 1 or 2 more for that very important area.
Definitely need some creative type to step in there and help on the creative side of things.

Stephen Loggins has again stepped up for the position of Crew Leader as of this week.
Thank you Stepehen...the kids love you...
Still need some more guys (and gals!) to be crew leaders.
This is the area that we lack the most in.
Zach Evans and Jacob Duncan are both unable to help this year and for that I am sure the kids will be sorry. Those 2 are some crazy guys and will be greatly missed at VBS this year.
I'm still hoping that they where pulling my leg and are really coming!!!

This Saturday, April 5th, 4 of us will be going to VBS training at Life Church.
This will be a great time to see some neat decorations, do all of the crafts, and network with other Churches in the area that will be doing Power Lab. It will also be a wonderful time of fellowship with other believers and a time of prayer for all of our VBS's.

Next week we will begin our time of praying for the names of children that attended our VBS last year.

So we move along and we praise God for His provisions this week.
I am more and more amazed at the Grace and Mercy God provides to me every day.

Serving with you.....Missy
